hell...

what's hell? not being able to access MSN MESSENGER, INTERNET and COMPANY EMAIL!!! -_-" which was what happened to me today... my present company's email/net server decided to go on leave.. without warning... so spent the entire day disconnected from reality of the WWW and all my friends on msn... sigh...

goes to show how important the internet has become... i couldn't send nor receive nor read my work mails... which kinda sucked coz at least i could do some emailing work... instead spent the day trying to remember what my contacts phone numbers were... yeah i rely on their email signature for telephone numbers etc... =P it was quite terrible... ahhahaha

my sis lost her phone on sunday... that must have super sucked.. but i'm thinking a day or two wifout internet can be considered as to be the same emotional hell... have you had an experience that's as hellish as mine?

weekend...

went to zouk last friday for their 'very xotic' theme party... i must say it's the first time i saw:

1. so many men (given the opportunity to oogle)
basically it was a naughty party, filled wif wigs, makeup, mani-pedicures, chocolate, bacardi-redbull and women in lingerie dancing in cages, modelling the lingerie as well as doing a few exotic, lap dances... u shld hv seen the area ard the catwalk.. one glance and all you see are men... taking video, photos wif their mobile phones... =P

2. lap dancing in singapore
yeah... a couple of dancers (male and female) performed (?) or demonstrated to the cheering and highly excited crowd how to lap dance... basically they chose a few people from the audience and did a wonderful routine.. the pilot and nurse was especially good.. ahahhah

the modelling section featured HUGE wigs (big hair) and really drag-queen makeup... outfits ranged frm intimates to patent leather to costumes... =)

ah well... i'm looking forward to the next one ;P

sometimes packagin designs can be funny... take this for example...

its actually a brand of breakfast cereals that's targeted for children.. so there's the baby panda, baby koala and a baby leopard... wait a minute!! baby leopard?! do leopards eat plants? i dun think there's any meat in this 'low-fat' cereal bar.. so why a leopard??

my friend and i observed tt for the other baby animals, they were lookin at the tiny bit of the bar at the right hand side.. but look carefully at the baby leopard... dun u think he's looking at the PERSON holding the bar instead? (we assume tt there must be someone holding the bar for the photography... ahahha) it's like 'grrrrrr yummy human hand... grrr...'

seah street deli

went to seah street deli yesterday night to celebrate an occasion... =) actually it was a tussle btwn menotti and seah street... which obviously the latter won... it's my second time there (yah lah i suah koo can...) and becoz we were there during dinner hours... the diner was a lil' packed...

so while sitting and waiting for our table to be readied... my friends saw this really funny thing:



yupz.. tt's my hand there and tt's the BEEGEST salt and pepper containers i've ever seen.. dun think it can be used though... perhaps juz to contain ALL the salt and pepper used in the diner itself... ahhaha

after we got the table... proceeded to order... dishes came and we ate... =P my friend had a pot roast (beef) and another had the 'seah street burger' and i had 'the book maker' which is a sandwich lah...

of coz eating burgers and sandwich not enuff... so we had fried chicken too... which was kinda TOO MUCH... pushed us over the edge...



not only tt... becoz we were eating fried chicken.. u needed the prerequisite fizzy drink right? so two of us ordered coke... :P which came in a beautiful jar-mug...



i tell u... we went into the deli as 'sticks' and we came out as 'pigs'... almost couldn't walk.. but nonetheless took a slow stroll to funan centre (which closes early but we wanted to try our luck)... den walk ard city hall a bit before goin home... ahhaha..

went to marche yesterday night after watching 'charlie and choc factory' (which is a brilliant show... johnny depp is now my all time fav actor... =D)

had a mini rosti and my dear bot bread, a cheese dish which i have forgotten the name of (sounds like 'rack')... which came wif a glass of wine... he chose a lovely light french chardonnay... and he also got a big glass of erdinger...

so we're eating and drinking and aft finishing the beer... we were lookin at the beautiful glass and the coaster tt came wif it... a flip to the back revealed this pretty amusing image...

how come the beer got so much foam? the beer tt we got didn't have such a big 'head'! after much silly-ness, we decided tt it looks more like a latte and my friend den dubbed it an 'Erdin-cino' (a la frappucino)... ahhahaha

see what happens when u share half litre of beer! =P

was looking at the articles posted at tomorrow, surfed onto one of them... went on clicking and discovered this delightfully funny research that was done on sheep, cows etc... =P

juz tot i'll share the news that YES.. sheep have friends... and they get depressed and cranky and horny too... lol

lazy ass of me

i've been a lazy ass this past week.. din update AT ALL... haha but did took some interesting fotos to share wif u... plus a game tt might make u addicted to it... ;)

first up.. the photos... went to orchard on wednesday wif d intention of watching willy wonka (charlie and choc factory lah) but it was sold out... ended up walking ard cineleisure and heeren area juz to while away the opportunity of being in orchard (i'm pretty deprived fyi..)



i love good headlines.. and i think this is one of those tt is really effective in presenting the mood and attitude tt is the heeren shops... especially love the first one and the last one.. ahhaha if i ever follow rule no. 01 den i'll sure be super broke... =) i'm always in doubt... ahahhaha

and if you are or know people who are golf crazy... perhaps this would be a good housewarming/bday pressie?



though i'm thinking who in the world would spend 150 on two glasses wif a golf ball IN the stem! how do u hold it? izzit ergonomically designed den? =P

and finally... go play 'DINERS DASH'... ahahhahha shall not say more.. google it and try it out urself... juz rem to play it when u're off work... ;)

i'm a trolley... my daily routine includes being pushed up and down asisles at supermarkets... or being herded around into rows... my greatest joy in life is to be filled up to the brim... yummy

life used to be so easy for me... i could be brought to places that i've never seen before... into elevators, fields, dark corners or simply used as a ski/sleigh... we were revolutionaries, we had wheels!

that's until people got smart and decided to chain us all up... now we are stuck together... yanked by that tiny puny chain with the slot for the golden coin (nope not golden ticket... golden coin)

i dun like being chained up... we have gangs u know... some of us dun really like other groups.. and woe betide u if u were unfortunately chained up wif a rival trolley gang... they can push u ard but u can't do anything abt it...

its such a stressful world for a trolley like me... =P

yesterday after a hard (half) day's work... i went to eat lunch wif my colleague... and this was wat i ate... it's four bucks... BRIMMING wif gravy and seafood ingredients over a 'nest' of crispy noodles...

and i couldn't finish it all... the gravy is very yummy... like the restaurant sharksfin soup sort... if u only hv 4 bucks and around jurong point... pop down to the basement foodcourt n i'm sure u wun be disappointed... =P oh the kebabs are nice too... ;) but not as nice as those frm aussie... bwahahahahahha...

tis d weekend again...

woke up this morning in a relatively 'nua' mood... ten minutes later than i usually would and tt's all thanks to my mum coz i din hear my phone at all (yes tt's how konked out i was)...

switched on the tv as per my normal routine and after watching a bit of discovery n nat geo... turned to star world for a bit of newsy news... which was all of 5 mins (doh) but after tt they showed 'friends'...

watching the first ten minutes reminded me of how much i missed tt sitcom and how i would (try to) religiously watch it on channel five when i was in poly... mondays at ten if i'm not wrong... the witty exchanges... the come-backs... the jokes.. the stupid gestures... i sucked all of them up readily (yes i'm a tv junkie... =P) my fav character is chandler.. his sacarsm n wit (yes and the cynicism) is something tt i would like to hv... ahahhaha plus he's got his dumb moments too... ;)

anyway... got my pay yesterday and subsequently proceeded to blow it all.. (no lah.. still got lah...) i went to kino (where they had 20% off for members) and bot nigella lawson's 'how to be a domestic goddess' which is all abt comfort baking (not hardcore okay... soft baking... lol) my sis and i are pretty excited =D (she baked a butter cake yesterday thanks to some food blogs she saw online)

den went to taka and happened upon this beautiful and luxurious object... *lusts*



yes.. a sheridan towel... in gold... erhemz... i'm a big fan of nice, huge and yummy towels that sucks up ALLLLLL the moisture frm ur body after u step out frm the bath/shower... no cheap towels tt basically juz spreads water around u will do for me... i've gotta feel like the towel works! =)

i've got three of these towels tt i bot when i was in aussie... and they're insanely expensive (a good investment.. they last...) so i would look out for them when it's sale time... taka was hving a 20% off for the towels so i decided to buy one to pamper my babe.. ;)

another thing i did over the past week was to attend a press conference (it's been a while man) at club momo (central mall)...



got branded wif this temp tatt of the company's logo... it's razer btw (gamers shld know) and they released news of their sponsorship of the WCG 2005 in sg and their latest product 'razer copperhead'...

wat realllllllly got me was the fact tt in their goody bag (after the event) they gave an 'eXact Mat'! =O (check out this review) me being the non-gamer (i play the sims and racing games) was pretty impressed wif the mouse pad... when i reached home, i placed it at my computer and asked my sis what she tot of it... she was pretty ok wif it (started complaining about the mouse... -_-") and this was UNTIL i went online to do some research into the product when i discover the amazing-ness of it...

the mat has TWO surfaces! like a nail file (;P)! a smooth side for gaming and a slightly textured side for photoshop, graphic work! how cool is that! (n it's made of anonised aluminum... hrm okay...) and there we were thinking 'how come its got two sides har... izzit u can flip over when one side is dirty?' damn kewl.... my sis was totally impressed and she went on her 'we need a new mouse' argument aft tt... =P

hvn't got time to take a photo of it.. once i hv i'll definitely post it up... ;) in the meantime do a google search if u wanna find out more...

these are not masks... they are...... tissue paper holders! very 'wat the!??!!' right?

plus they're like totally 'creative' in the way the tissue comes out frm the 'box'... some comes out frm the mouth section.. there's a fist somewhere and i think there's an 'ass' version too... =P

can't imagine how and where u would put this in ur home.. though i must say it would be hilarious to hv the ass version in ur loo! haahhaha

had an interesting evening yesterday night... went out for dinner with my friends at tampines mall (yes i stay in the west and my friends are in the east... tt makes for loads of travelling and interesting things to see mah...)

anyway... after dinner we went back to TM for a short bout of 'shopping'... being 9.30pm... all the stores were eager to close and shut their doors for the night (i know how they feel... seeing all the customers still loitering around in their stores 'just get out of hereeeeee!!!!!') so we decided to pop by NTUC just like in aussie...

FYI: we used to shop at the supermarkets after the stores closed ard 5pm so tt inculcated a 'grocery-shopping' gene in us... favourites were woolworths and coles ;P walking up and down aisles of groceries are fun...

coz one of my friends have been coughing since the weekend... he decided to take a look at the selections of cough lozenges... which NTUC had a good variety of... but i was trying not to fall asleep amongst the cans of stuff in the middle of the wide wide aisle... anyway... the other friend suddenly noticed this realllllly 'funky' cough lozenges... check out the packaging!



aiyoh............. this definitely made my day... ahhahaha what's wif the guy's face on the front.. and the green/turquoise stripes across the entire packaging... and and the waterfall at the back... -_-"" which made me wonder who would buy this brand and why and how in the world were they attracted to it in the first place? 'ooo this looks funky and it uses traditional chinese stuff so perhaps it's good for my throat!' perhaps NTUC had this brand since its beginnings so long ago... it's placed on the uppermost shelf so unless u tilt ur head up and look.. u would definitely miss it...

i get a headache juz looking at the psychedelic stripes... lol i'm sure there're more of such funky packaged products out there in the market... i shall endeavour to dig out more the next time i pop by NTUC... ahahah...

this morning as i went on my way to work (rather to the bus stop for my company transport) i happened to sit right at the front behind the bus driver... and it was a good view... which got me to thinking.. wat do the bus drivers think about as they drive us around?

unlike cab drivers, they meet alot more people who mindlessly tap their transport card (EZ-link) before attempting to squeeezzze their way into the vehicle (if its crowded)... hrmmm at least they get to see different things... imagine the train driver...

had a busy weekend... and now its over!! >_< let's see what i discovered...

Saturday:

relatively busy day coz i had work in the morning... took a cab to the bus stop to wait for the company transport (i am lazy and the bus stop isn't very near my house...) in the cab.. i saw this advertisement which got me thinking;



i was just staring at the ad thinking to myself over and over and over again (okay many juz two 'overs' coz it wasn't tt long a trip) and before i could contemplate further... i was at the bus stop... so put those nagging tots out of my mind... =P

after work... i met up wif my friend for a bout of lunch (i was on a tight schedule coz initially had to go for project discussion) at borders bistro... i ordered their value set lunch thingy (19.90 for starter, mains and coffee) and the salad was questionable... yeah the mayo was nice wif the veggie (i dun eat raw veggies mind u.. so the sauce has to be there) but the presentation was pretty lousy... it looked like the main item was missing.. like 'nah here's ur veggie'... nonetheless managed to finished it... =P hungry mah...



den my darling fren came and we yakked until the lunch at borders was over and we went over (upon his suggestion) to another small lil' pl round the corner of shaw towers (opposite pacific plaza on the same side... u know where's mango?) it's next to 'the canteen' by les amis... and its a nice place to hv sandwiches and coffee and yak... =) go visit it sometime... hee reminds me of aussie...



and then went to kino where i met up wif my sisters (coz i cancelled my project meeting i could go wif them to my cousin's daughter's first bday) and in the course of travelling to pasir ris... saw this at city hall mrt (they were hving NDP preview i think?)



yeah sniffer dog! ahhaha i think the police officers were pretty amused by the amount of attention the dog (not them) got... =P

spent the whole day doing up my project... powerpoint... urgh =P

today is the presentation... 30%... i hope what we hv done is enuff.. it doesn't seem so though.. oh well... i do until my eyes almost pop out.. rearranging... typing.. editing... all the best to my grp~! =D
